Machine Design Engineer – Turbo Machinery

About the role

We are working with an established engineering and manufacturing employer in Antwerp who are looking for a permanent Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. The role will focus on turbo machinery, 3D design optimisation and reverse engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise mechanical designs for turbo machinery applications.
• Carry out reverse engineering of existing turbo machinery and components.
• Analyse and improve existing designs to enhance performance, reliability and manufacturability.
• Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet project requirements.
• Support the development and implementation of design solutions from concept through to completion.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with turbo machinery is essential.
• Strong experience with Ansys.
• A Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong 3D CAD and modelling experience.
• A good communicator and team player with the ability to work effectively within a wider engineering team.
