Design Engineer Mechanical – Energy Conversion

About the role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will translate customer needs into customized compressor, dryer and accessory solutions. Reporting to the Team Leader Mechanical Design, you will ensure reliable and efficient technical outcomes while supporting the global engineering community.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate technical alternatives, identify risks and select the most effective solution for each project.
• Design and modify technical drawings, parts lists and procedures, performing risk analyses to guarantee safety and quality.
• Support technicians during production, resolve technical issues and validate peer work to maintain consistent quality.
• Collaborate with suppliers and the purchasing manager, as well as internal competence carriers, to achieve optimal results.
• Assist the quotation team by converting specifications into machine requirements and selecting appropriate components.
• Contribute to compressor designs, promote standardisation and ensure centralized data sharing within the Global Engineering team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Affinity for mechanical design and product optimisation.
• Initiative, problem‑solving mindset and strong team spirit.
