Senior Event Manager – Belgium (Hybrid)

About the role

BCD Meetings & Events is looking for a Senior Event Manager to lead high‑impact meetings, conferences, incentive trips and special events across Europe. Based in Belgium, you will work remotely with a weekly visit to the Antwerp office, acting as the primary client partner from concept through final invoice.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end project management for events, including agendas, itineraries, timelines and website coordination.
• Serve as the day‑to‑day client contact, providing consultative planning, walk‑throughs, debriefs and site inspections.
• Manage complex program budgets with precision, handling tracking, attrition, deposits, invoicing and final reconciliation.
• Source and negotiate with destinations, hotels, venues, transportation, entertainment and other vendors using BCD M&E preferred suppliers.
• Support client pitches and presentations, and travel on‑site when required to lead client and supplier interactions.

Required profile

• Minimum 6‑7 years of project management experience in an event agency.
• Proven ability to manage large‑scale, multi‑stakeholder events while maintaining quality and budget.
• Strong consultative approach with excellent client‑facing skills.
• Comfortable working independently and collaborating across global teams.

Required skills

• Advanced budget management and financial reconciliation.
• Negotiation and vendor management expertise.
• Proficiency in event planning tools and project management software.
• Fluent English; additional language skills are a plus.
