Senior Auditor – Brussels

About the role

Forvis Mazars in Brussels is expanding its audit team and is looking for a Senior Auditor. You will work in a dynamic, international environment, mentoring junior staff and delivering high‑quality audit engagements for a variety of clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach junior auditors, reviewing their work and ensuring delivery standards.
• Design and execute audit strategies, analysing client processes and identifying key risks.
• Evaluate management assumptions, assess compliance with IFRS, BGAAP, Economic Law and Company Law, and recommend improvements.
• Review internal control frameworks, administrative processes and workflows to strengthen client operations.
• Transform financial and operational data into actionable insights using budgets, KPIs, financial indicators and data‑analytics techniques such as process mining.
• Support clients in navigating regulatory complexity and contribute to advisory engagements and business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Commercial Engineering, Economic Sciences, Mathematics, Law or a related discipline.
• 3‑5 years of audit experience (candidates with more experience are also welcome).
• Fluent in Dutch and/or French with solid English proficiency.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to communicate complex matters clearly.
• Team‑oriented attitude and willingness to support colleagues’ growth.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience in data‑analytics and process‑mining techniques.
• Solid understanding of financial analysis, audit methodology and regulatory frameworks.
