Senior AOCS Engineer

About the role

Aerospacelab designs and manufactures small satellites and develops earth observation services, with offices in Belgium, France, Switzerland and the US West Coast. As a Senior AOCS Engineer in the Space Projects & Platforms department, you will lead the design and implementation of attitude and orbit control solutions for satellites across various missions, guiding the AOCS design from concept through launch. You will also help improve the design and simulation toolchain.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical development and testing of Attitude and Orbit Control Systems at project level
• Take part in developing simulation products
• Support LEOP and AOCS commissioning activities
• Provide support and analysis for mission and systems engineering, and for operations
• Support the preparation of project proposals

Required profile

• MSc or PhD in a relevant field
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience
• Strong demonstrated skillset in AOCS design
• Experience building complex simulations and models
• Good English

Required skills

• Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink
• Nice to have: understanding of Git version control, experience supporting satellite operations, good understanding of embedded software architecture
