Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead our statutory accounting and tax compliance activities in Belgium. The successful candidate will ensure accurate VAT reporting, timely tax filings, and seamless interaction with tax authorities and auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual VAT returns in line with Belgian tax legislation.
• Ensure timely submission of all statutory tax declarations and compliance reports.
• Reconcile VAT accounts and maintain precise financial records.
• Prepare annual financial statements and support year‑end closing activities.
• Liaise with Belgian tax authorities and external auditors as required.
• Monitor changes in Belgian tax legislation and implement necessary compliance updates.
• Provide guidance on VAT‑related matters and support broader finance operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Belgian accounting and VAT compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian VAT legislation, corporate tax, and statutory filing requirements.
• Experience preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings.
• Familiarity with Belgian accounting standards and financial reporting.
