Innovation Funding (Case) Manager – Remote Leadership Role

About the role

Our client is a leading deep‑tech innovation funding advisory firm, the #1 performer in the Horizon Europe framework for the EIC Accelerator programme. They are looking for an Innovation Funding (Case) Manager to lead operational excellence for a remote team of 25+ consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Support and manage a distributed team of 25+ consultants, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Business Development to qualify incoming cases and allocate them based on expertise and capacity.
• Oversee the entire grant‑writing process from inception to submission, implementing robust quality‑control measures.
• Drive professional growth through mentorship, training and constructive feedback.
• Monitor workflows to ensure strict compliance with Horizon Europe requirements and internal best practices.
• Act as the primary “Fixer”, stepping in to resolve technical or narrative roadblocks under tight deadlines.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years in operational leadership, public fundraising, grant writing or innovation consultancy (Horizon Europe/H2020).
• Proven ability to manage and develop large, distributed teams of high‑level professionals.
• Strong expertise in lead qualification, contract negotiation and high‑level decision‑making.
• MSc, MBA or PhD in Business Administration, Management or a STEM field.
• Flawless organization, detail‑obsessed and resilient under pressure of EIC funding cycles.
• C1/C2 level proficiency in English (mandatory).
