Senior Accountant

About the role

BESIX Group is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead the accounting and financial follow‑up of joint ventures involved in project‑based activities. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle for multiple joint ventures.
• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial reports.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping, including journal entries, reconciliations and month‑end closing.
• Monitor cash flow, project costs and partner allocations.
• Produce partner reporting and financial summaries for joint‑venture participants.
• Coordinate with project managers, partners, auditors and external accountants.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations and internal procedures.
• Support audit processes and provide required documentation.
• Improve accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Act as back‑up for the Team Leader, supporting team coordination when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of end‑to‑end accounting experience, preferably in project accounting, joint ventures or construction.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and detail‑oriented skills.
• Ability to work independently and proactively while managing multiple entities/projects.
