Remote Study Design Lead

About the role

Labcorp is seeking a remote Study Design Lead to join its Central Labs Services team in Belgium. The role covers the creation and maintenance of protocol-specific databases and Statements of Work (SOW) for clinical trial projects, working with external clients and internal departments.

Key responsibilities

• Translate sponsor protocol requirements into a protocol-specific database and generate a Statement of Work for the project.
• Use technical, therapeutic area, client and company knowledge to deliver a complete database design.
• Interact regularly with external clients and liaise with internal departments to assess feasibility of requests.
• Advise on study design choices and work with the Global Study Manager to highlight risks and budget impacts.
• Coordinate internal processes such as feasibility requests, material transfer agreements and supply forecasting, and integrate follow-up into the database and global monitoring plan.
• Perform quality self-reviews, document all customer requirements and act efficiently under dynamic timelines.
• Manage a portfolio of global and local studies, take part in functional meetings and comply with the Central Lab Global Project Management strategy.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a life science; preferred: Master's degree in a life science.
• 6+ years of experience in clinical research or a lab environment; preferred: 6+ years in Central Lab project management.
• Direct experience working with internal or external customers and strong relationship-building skills.
• Familiarity with clinical or preclinical research protocols.
