Public Policy Manager Oncology

About the role

The Public Policy Manager Oncology will lead external policy and public affairs strategy for oncology in Belgium and Luxembourg, shaping a patient‑centred environment and fostering partnerships that improve cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and access to innovative solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain deep knowledge of the oncology ecosystem, including policies, reimbursement frameworks and emerging scientific developments, and translate insights into strategic priorities.
• Design and lead policy and stakeholder engagement initiatives that demonstrate how innovation can improve cancer outcomes.
• Build trusted partnerships with policymakers, patient organisations, healthcare professionals, academia and industry associations.
• Represent the company in policy forums, industry associations and working groups, bringing evidence‑based perspectives.
• Connect external stakeholder insights with internal cross‑functional teams to develop policies and initiatives that deliver value for patients and society.

Required profile

• University degree in science, pharmacy, medicine, health economics or related field; law, political science or economics is an asset.
• At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, a health authority or governmental body.
• Proven track record of advancing public policy initiatives with effective stakeholder management and advocacy.
• Strong existing network within the oncology policy community.

Required skills

• Excellent oral and written communication in French, English and Dutch.
• Project management and cross‑functional collaboration abilities.
• Negotiation, partnership building and storytelling skills.
• Customer‑oriented mindset and ability to meet deadlines while handling multiple projects.
