Medical Advisor – Ophthalmology & New Products

Do you have a passion for launching new products to market and want to contribute to breakthrough innovations that improve patients' lives? We have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Advisor in Ophthalmology and pipeline products within our Medical Affairs Department in Brussels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the country Medical Affairs Plan (cMAP) with strategically aligned tactics.
• Collect, collate and analyse insights from external stakeholders to inform medical advice for commercial, market access, clinical and regulatory teams.
• Ensure scientifically balanced medical education through non‑promotional activities.
• Implement investigator‑initiated, epidemiologic and interventional data‑generating projects to address unmet medical needs.
• Collaborate with Global Clinical Trial Operations and investigators to identify opportunities for new phase 1‑3 studies in Belgium.
• Work closely with Market Access, External Affairs and Marketing to support launch readiness for pipeline assets.
• Represent the Medical Department at local and regional medical congresses and symposia.

Required profile

• MD, PharmD or PhD in Life Sciences.
• 2‑3 years of medical affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Scientific knowledge in Ophthalmology (or related experience).
• Understanding of clinical trial methods and data interpretation.
• Strong scientific and clinical judgment with a proactive “can‑do” attitude.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management, presentation and communication skills.
• Fluency in English and Dutch or French; preference for proficiency in all three languages.
