Project Manager – Operational Excellence (Lean & Six Sigma)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead Operational Excellence initiatives across our advanced cell therapy manufacturing sites in Belgium. You will drive continuous improvement, embed Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and support a culture of innovation in a fast‑moving biotech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑own the Operational Excellence programme across multiple manufacturing sites.
• Strengthen a continuous‑improvement mindset within operational teams.
• Design and deliver Lean and Six Sigma training and coaching.
• Support Green Belt trainee selection, certification and project reviews.
• Provide statistical guidance and structured problem‑solving support.
• Maintain and optimise operational‑excellence tools, templates and dashboards.
• Coach operational deployment leads across departments.
• Lead complex Lean and Six Sigma optimisation projects targeting cost reduction and lead‑time improvement.
• Improve scheduling, clean‑room efficiency and deviation management.
• Act as subject‑matter expert for data analysis and statistical methods.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Black Belt certification in Six Sigma.
• Minimum five years of experience in industrial operations, with at least three years in the pharmaceutical sector.
• Proven expertise in Lean process optimisation.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with solid data‑interpretation capabilities.
• Fluent English; Dutch is a plus.
