Project Manager – ICT Systems Implementation

About the role

The Information, Communication and Technology Management (ICTM) Office at NATO Headquarters is seeking a Project Manager to lead the implementation of new systems and software packages. The role involves coordinating security accreditation activities and managing multiple ICT projects that support business requirements across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Apply a structured project management methodology (e.g., PRINCE2) to plan, execute and close projects.
• Estimate project size, duration and resource needs, and monitor progress against plans.
• Track financial performance, prepare reports and implement risk‑mitigation actions.
• Develop and maintain all project documentation, including plans, status reports and post‑implementation reviews.
• Collaborate with the Release Manager to ensure smooth operations turnover and update Service Level Agreements where required.
• Control project risks and issues through rigorous tracking of tasks and schedules.

Required profile

• University degree in information technology, computer science or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in project management for software development or system integration in an ICT environment.
• Practical knowledge of formal project‑management frameworks such as PRINCE2 and experience leading cross‑functional teams.
• Experience with software cybersecurity in high‑security settings.
• Official NATO language proficiency: Advanced (V) in English or French and Elementary (II) in the other language.
