Production Intern

About the role

The Production Intern will support POLITICO Europe’s editorial production team in Brussels, contributing to the weekly print edition and daily online output. This role offers hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced media environment covering European politics.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare articles, alerts and newsletters for publication.
• Ensure each piece of content is clean, correct and visually attractive.
• Apply basic SEO techniques to improve story visibility.
• Support the data team by keeping the Poll of Polls up to date.
• Collaborate with the social media team to create visuals or write copy for accounts.

Required profile

• Strong interest in European politics, government and policy.
• Highly organized, energetic and able to thrive in a changing environment.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Fluent in English; additional languages such as French, German, Spanish or Italian are a plus.
• Unpaid internship with expense reimbursement; a tripartite agreement with your university is required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe InDesign.
• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator.
• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop.
• Basic understanding of HTML.
