Junior Media Analyst

About the role

Cronos Europa is seeking a Junior Media Analyst to join its team in Brussels, supporting media monitoring and analysis for a European Union Institution. You will transform raw media data into actionable insights that help shape communication strategies and public outreach.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and track media coverage across multiple sources and channels.
• Compile, classify and archive articles, editorials, and opinion pieces related to assigned topics.
• Produce regular and ad‑hoc media monitoring reports, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of media performance and visibility of EU institutions.
• Support the creation of summaries, presentations, infographics and other visualisations.
• Map media landscapes, identify emerging trends across EU Member States, and validate large datasets.
• Contribute to drafting, editing and quality review of analytical content.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Political Science, Data Analytics, Marketing or a related field.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical, research and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Experience handling large volumes of data and extracting meaningful insights.
• Proficiency in drafting, editing and reporting.
• Good knowledge of information systems and data‑processing methods.
• Understanding of accessibility principles in communications.
• Organisational precision, attention to detail and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
