Production Associate

About the role

POLITICO’s European events team is expanding and looking for a Production Associate to support the planning and execution of high‑profile live journalism events. This role works closely with the Events Manager, Executive Director and cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of policy‑focused and broader event formats.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the production and execution of POLITICO Live events, from summits to capstone moments.
• Coordinate logistics such as venue selection, AV requirements, creative assets, budgeting, marketing deliverables, load‑in/load‑out, and on‑site operations.
• Partner with internal teams (editorial, sales, marketing, design, operations) and external vendors, speakers, and clients.
• Maintain project timelines, production schedules, agendas, budgets and documentation, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
• Support project‑management best practices by managing templates, tracking deliverables, and identifying workflow improvements.
• Stay current on event‑industry trends and contribute ideas to enhance attendee experience.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in event management, production, or a related field.
• Excellent organizational, project‑management and detail‑orientation skills.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities.
• Interest in political and policy developments, especially within the EU context.

Required skills

• Fluency in English (mandatory); additional languages such as French, Dutch, German or Spanish are a plus.
