Product Manager Energy (f/m/d)

About the role

Next Kraftwerke is looking for a driven, autonomous Product Manager Energy to join its team of six colleagues in Brussels. The role combines expertise in energy markets and regulations with a commercial mindset and product ownership, covering the full life cycle of the product portfolio from market and regulatory design to operational excellence. The position is open to full-time or part-time arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the evolution of products by combining customer insights, market developments and regulatory changes into competitive service offerings, engaging with industry stakeholders and working groups and collaborating with the product management team in Cologne.
• Provide expert support on complex customer questions and business cases alongside customer service.
• Own the operational performance of the product line, improving processes to support growth, customer satisfaction and profitability.
• Contribute to business development through data analysis, preparing and following up on offers and representing Next in the market.
• Analyse and report on margins, cost structures and profitability per product, client or market, and present financial reporting to management and internal stakeholders.
• Keep up expertise in electricity and ancillary service markets and share it with internal stakeholders.
• Travel to Cologne when necessary to strengthen collaboration with the teams.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, Natural Sciences or equivalent via proven relevant experience.
• At least three years of experience in the energy sector and a good understanding of energy markets and regulatory environments in Belgium.
• Autonomous, analytical and able to work on several topics in parallel, with a clear, concise communication style.
• Team player who enjoys building an internal and external network.

Required skills

• Dutch and fluent English; French is a plus.
• Knowledge of energy markets and regulations in Belgium.
