Principal Technician – ICT Systems

About the role

Based in Brussels, you will join the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) as a Principal Technician responsible for ICT systems. You will support the transformation of IT services for NATO’s Digital Endeavour and work within the CSU Brussels team that delivers end‑to‑end communications and information system services to NATO headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot software configuration and network support systems.
• Install, upgrade and remove ICT hardware and software components.
• Manage network fault, configuration, accounting, performance and security (FCAPS) processes.
• Support Cisco routing and switching infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain network authentication and authorization solutions such as Cisco ISE, 802.1x, RADIUS and TACACS+.

Required profile

• Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with at least 3 years of related experience, or secondary qualification with 5 years of experience.
• Proven experience with Cisco routing and switching equipment.
• Knowledge of FCAPS management systems.
• Experience with network authentication technologies (Cisco ISE, 802.1x, RADIUS, TACACS+).
• Fluent written and spoken English.
