Plant Manager - PP/PE Extrusion

About the role

Our client, a leading Belgian advanced‑plastics recycling company, is looking for a Plant Manager to lead its PP/PE extrusion plant. You will have full end‑to‑end responsibility for the regeneration process, overseeing a highly automated operation that turns waste streams into certified raw material for the circular economy.

Key responsibilities

• Own the complete production cycle from raw material intake through extrusion, quality control and delivery of certified product, ensuring safety, efficiency and compliance with CERTIPLAST and ISO 9001.
• Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team of 25‑30 staff in production, maintenance, laboratory and R&D.
• Set up, fine‑tune and expand extrusion installations, drive process improvements and manage CAPEX projects in close collaboration with the Operational Manager.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or Chemical Engineering.
• Proven experience in plastics regeneration (PP or PE) and hands‑on management of extrusion technology in an industrial setting.
• Track record of leading production teams of 25‑30 people, including hiring and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems and maintaining certifications such as CERTIPLAST and ISO 9001.
• Fluency in Flemish and good command of English.
