About the role
Join Elia Belgium, a key player in the European energy landscape, as a Payroll Officer within the Compensation & Benefits team. You will act as the main point of contact for employees on all matters related to personnel administration, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processes.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain personnel administration for active and non‑active staff in line with social and tax legislation.
- Track social documents, calculate holiday pay and entitlements, and manage personnel data.
- Process contract changes, job moves, and amendments to the labour system.
- Prepare correspondence, calculate benefits and expenses, and update staff communications.
- Collaborate closely with Elia’s social secretariat and manage assigned files end‑to‑end.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payslips, social documents, holidays, etc.
- Assist the team in preparing the monthly salary calculation and perform salary processing checks.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of payroll experience with solid knowledge of social legislation.
- Native fluency in French or Dutch; good command of the other language or willingness to learn.
- Client‑focused mindset with clear, friendly communication.
- Team player who contributes to a positive team spirit.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and committed to accuracy.
- Confident user of MS Office and strong affinity for numbers.
