Onsite IT Support Technician – Brussels

About the role

This position provides on‑site technical support for a European institution in Brussels. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and configuring hardware, software and networking components to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and resolve software and hardware incidents, performing repairs as needed.
• Carry out regular preventive maintenance on workstations, peripherals and servers.
• Install, terminate and configure cabling, network devices and peripheral equipment.
• Document system addresses, configurations and changes in the IT inventory.
• Run diagnostic tools and test equipment to pinpoint problem sources.
• Communicate effectively with end‑users and management, providing clear updates and guidance.
• Apply temporary fixes and patches to maintain security and functionality.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary school education (CES).
• Approximately one year of relevant technical support experience.
• EU nationality (EU nationals only).
• Fluent in English and French at C1 level for both verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently, be punctual and detail‑oriented.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Windows 10 (and later) workstation support.
• Experience with patch management and IP Address Management (IPAM) systems.
• Understanding of incident, problem, change and configuration management processes.
• Technical certifications (optional but valued): Windows 10 MCSA, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, IT Helpdesk Professional, Google IT Support Professional Certificate, Microsoft Office Specialist (Advanced), Call Centre Associate Certified, Certified Network Cabling Design Professional (CNSDP).
