Offshore Island Construction Manager

About the role

The Offshore Island Construction Manager will lead the execution of a landmark offshore energy island project for a major European transmission company. Reporting to the Island Works Manager, you will act as the single point of contact between the client and the EPC contractor, ensuring safe, on‑time delivery of construction activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all offshore construction activities on the island project.
• Oversee HSE compliance of the EPC contractor and supervise quality control together with the QC team.
• Monitor progress, prepare reports and manage staffing, onboarding and integration of offshore client representatives.
• Review construction methodologies, risk assessments and method statements, and develop mitigation plans.
• Serve as the SPOC for daily offshore construction operations, liaising with marine, civil, HSE, contracts, quality and project management teams.
• Ensure all works comply with engineering standards, safety regulations and project requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of construction management experience, preferably in civil and offshore projects.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering preferred).
• Valid offshore medical certification (e.g., NOGEPA) and BOSIET/Boat Landing Training.
• Professional proficiency in English; Dutch or French is a plus.
• Legal authorization to work in Belgium.
