Offshore Construction Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Offshore Construction Manager to lead the safe and successful delivery of a major offshore construction programme for a leading European energy organisation. The role is based in Belgium for an initial mobilisation period, followed by a rotational offshore working pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Lead offshore construction activities, ensuring delivery against programme, quality and HSEQ requirements.
• Manage and coordinate client representatives and project engineers on‑site.
• Oversee EPC contractor performance in health & safety, quality and construction execution.
• Review method statements, risk assessments and construction procedures.
• Produce regular progress reports, highlighting programme updates, risks and mitigation plans.
• Act as the primary interface between the client and EPC contractor throughout construction.
• Support resource planning, onboarding and coordination of offshore personnel.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, HSEQ, quality and project management teams.
• Identify construction risks, resolve site issues and drive successful project execution.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of construction management experience on large civil or infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record managing EPC contractors and driving HSEQ and quality standards.
• Previous offshore construction experience is highly desirable.
• Civil engineering qualification preferred.
• Fluent English; right to work in Belgium.

Required skills

• Experience with ACONEX.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of RAMS, construction methodologies and project documentation.
• Understanding of structural works and corrosion protection (advantageous).
• Offshore Medical, BOSIET or equivalent and Boat Landing certification (preferred).
