Medior Purchasing Officer / Buyer – Public Mobility (Brussels)

About the role

As a Medior Purchasing Officer / Buyer you will manage the end‑to‑end execution of procurement processes for goods and services within the public mobility sector. You will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure that requests, orders, contracts and invoices are processed accurately, on time and in line with internal procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the shared procurement mailbox and coordinate the administrative processing of purchasing requests from initiation to completion.
• Create and manage procurement requests in SAP Ariba, including one‑off purchases, call‑offs against framework agreements and new framework contracts.
• Coordinate approval workflows, track purchase orders throughout their lifecycle and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
• Process incoming supplier invoices, confirm receipt of goods/services (MIGO), and prepare invoices for payment approval.
• Collaborate with Finance to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
• Produce procurement reports and ad‑hoc analyses using data extracted from SAP Ariba and Excel (pivot tables, charts).

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Purchasing Officer, Buyer or in a comparable procurement role.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP ECC and SAP Ariba.
• Availability to work on‑site in Brussels at least two days per week, with a mandatory presence on Wednesdays.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and French.
