Media Officer

About the role

ICF Next is seeking a Media Officer to support the planning, coordination and quality control of communication activities across a portfolio of EU institutional projects. The role involves working on integrated campaigns that span social media, influencer marketing, media relations and stakeholder outreach.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of communication projects and integrated campaigns across social media, influencer marketing, media relations and outreach.
• Identify and engage journalists, stakeholders, content creators, influencers and digital communities across EU markets.
• Maintain and regularly update media lists, stakeholder databases, influencer mappings and outreach trackers.
• Prepare and coordinate outreach activities, including briefing materials, contact management and follow‑up actions.
• Assist with social media management – content scheduling, publication, platform monitoring and community management.
• Draft, review and ensure quality of communication materials such as press releases, media advisories and influencer briefs.
• Monitor media coverage, campaign performance and online conversations, extracting insights and trends.
• Contribute to reports, dashboards, analyses and client presentations.
• Support paid social media and digital amplification through audience research and performance monitoring.
• Assist in organising press events, media briefings, interviews and influencer activations.
• Research media landscapes, stakeholder ecosystems and digital trends across European markets.
• Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers and external partners to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Required profile

• Experience supporting communication projects, preferably within EU institutional or large‑scale campaign environments.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple databases and trackers accurately.
• Excellent written communication skills for drafting outreach and media materials.
• Analytical mindset to monitor coverage and extract actionable insights.
