Media & Communication Trainee (Internship)

About the role

ICF Next is seeking a Media & Communication trainee to join its Brussels team. This internship offers hands‑on experience across PR, social media, influencer marketing and advertising for European‑wide campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in delivering communication campaigns alongside senior professionals.
• Create and schedule content for social‑media and PR activities.
• Map, pitch and reach out to media outlets, podcasters, stakeholder organisations and influencers.
• Support coordination of local PR agencies implementing projects at the local level.
• Monitor media coverage and social‑media engagement using monitoring tools and desk research.
• Collect, analyse and present data in reports and presentations.
• Handle community management on multiple social‑media platforms.
• Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions and live campaign activations.
• Perform day‑to‑day administrative tasks to support the team.

Required profile

• Interest in media, communications and digital marketing with a willingness to learn.
• Curiosity about European institutions and their communication activities.
• Strong storytelling and pitching abilities.
• Excellent organisational skills, proactive and solution‑oriented.
• Residency in Belgium and fluent English (additional languages a plus).
