Manufacturing Operations Manager

About the role

Join Manufacture Belge de Chocolats (MBC) in Brussels as the Manufacturing Operations Manager. You will lead all manufacturing, production, and engineering activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality chocolate production while driving operational excellence and sustainable performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day plant operations, maintaining safety, quality, food‑safety, and environmental standards.
• Improve productivity, process efficiency, and overall equipment effectiveness.
• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime.
• Oversee capital investment projects, technical upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
• Collaborate with R&D and technical teams to drive innovation and process enhancements.
• Foster cross‑functional collaboration and a strong safety culture across the site.
• Contribute to the site’s operational strategy as a member of the Management Team.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food or confectionery.
• Strong track record of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Ability to manage large teams, develop talent, and inspire high performance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
