Linux System Engineer – iOps / Infrastructure

About the role

As a Linux System Engineer in the iOps / Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the availability, performance and security of production Linux environments. You will accelerate the industrialisation of operations through scripting, automation and integration with CI/CD pipelines, helping to stabilise services and reduce manual workload.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and enhance a fleet of Linux servers (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu or similar) in production.
• Maintain core system services such as user/group management, permissions, partitions, quotas and scheduled jobs (cron).
• Monitor performance indicators (CPU, memory, disk I/O, network) and anticipate capacity needs.
• Plan and execute security patches, updates and upgrades with minimal impact.
• Design, develop and maintain scripts, enforcing version control (Git) and coding standards.
• Integrate scripts into automation and CI/CD toolchains (Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab CI or equivalents).

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Systems & Networks or equivalent (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
• 3‑5+ years of professional experience as a Linux systems administrator/engineer in production environments.
• Strong expertise in Linux installation, configuration, troubleshooting and performance tuning.
