Key Account Manager – Rare Diseases (Field-Based, Belgium)

About the role

The company is a global, innovation‑driven biopharmaceutical organization seeking a Key Account Manager to expand its rare diseases footprint across Belgium. This field‑based position focuses on building high‑value relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals to improve patient access and outcomes for complex conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with KOLs and HCPs across specialist therapy areas.
• Map and grow key accounts throughout Belgium, identifying opportunities to enhance patient access.
• Deliver high‑quality, scientific discussions aligned to a rare disease portfolio.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with medical and commercial teams.
• Lead local engagement initiatives, including educational meetings and events.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience as a KAM, Sales Representative, or Medical Sales Representative in pharma.
• Background in specialty care such as rare diseases, oncology, neurology, or respiratory.
• Strong commercial mindset combined with credible scientific understanding.
• Proven ability to build relationships with KOLs and hospital stakeholders.
• Comfortable with a fully field‑based role involving regular travel across Belgium.
• Fluent in French and English, with strong Dutch language skills.
