Junior Support Engineer

About the role

As a Junior Support Engineer you will join Sopra Steria’s Digital Platform Services team to provide first‑line IT support for users across multiple locations. You will work on‑site and remotely, diagnosing hardware, software and network issues to keep business operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance for desktops, laptops, printers and other peripherals.
• Troubleshoot operating system problems on Windows and macOS.
• Support common software applications such as Microsoft Office, O365, email clients and Intune.
• Assist with basic networking tasks, including IP addressing, router and switch configuration, Wi‑Fi and LAN connectivity.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and routine system updates.
• Use service‑desk tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) to log, track and resolve incidents.

Required profile

• Training in IT support (associate degree, Syntra, VDAB) or proven experience in a similar role.
• First‑line support experience or recent completion of an IT course.
• Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non‑technical users.
• Fluency in English, Dutch and French.
• Willingness to work day‑shifts and occasional weekends.
