Junior Software Engineer – Interactive Attractions

About the role

Join Alterface’s dynamic software team and help create award‑winning interactive attractions for theme parks and location‑based entertainment venues worldwide. As a Junior Software Engineer you will work on the full project lifecycle, from specification to on‑site installation, turning imaginative concepts into real‑world experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop projects using the proprietary Salto language and Salto™ interactive show‑control environment.
• Manage project planning and on‑site installation, including up to 20% travel for installations lasting up to three weeks.
• Maintain and extend legacy code, add new features, and fix bugs.
• Design and implement unit tests and tooling solutions in C#, C, or C++.
• Produce comprehensive technical and installation documentation for internal and external use.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
• Participate in design peer reviews and support software/maintenance teams during installations.

Required profile

• Proficiency with source‑control systems such as Git or SVN.
• Experience in C, C#, Python (or similar languages).
• Fluent written and spoken French and English.
• Strong communication skills for direct client and partner interaction.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Bonus: experience with Unity or Unreal Engine.
