Junior Project Assistant

About the role

The Junior Project Assistant will support the Labour Mobility and Social Inclusion (LMI) team in implementing and developing projects at the IOM Country Office for Belgium and Luxembourg. The role involves research, administrative support, and coordination of events and meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Assist project management teams with implementation, follow‑up, research, and logistical organization of meetings and events.
• Draft and format reports, correspondence, concept notes, project proposals, public information documents, website articles, and press releases.
• Support policy outreach by identifying partnerships with private sector, NGOs, government and academic institutions, and preparing presentations and speeches.
• Participate in and follow‑up on meetings and conferences on behalf of the organization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, social science, migration studies or related field with at least one year of relevant experience, or high school diploma with three years of experience.
• First experience or internship in project management, evaluation, migrant integration or labour migration.
• Strong organizational, time‑management and independent work abilities.
• Fluency in English and French (oral and written); advanced Dutch is an advantage.
