Junior Governance / Policy Expert

About the role

NTU International is seeking a Junior Governance / Policy Expert to support the “Cooperation Facility to Support the Implementation and Programming of EU Action and Team Europe Initiatives in Lesotho” project. The position will be mobilised on a short‑term, on‑demand basis during the 48‑month implementation period, expected to start in January 2027, and will be subject to specific Terms of Reference approved by the EU Delegation to Lesotho.

Key responsibilities

• Support governance assessments, policy research and institutional analyses.
• Assist in drafting technical reports, policy briefs and briefing notes.
• Conduct literature reviews and prepare background documentation.
• Support stakeholder consultations and coordinate with project partners.
• Contribute to the implementation of project activities and monitoring of results.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of experience in governance, policy analysis or institutional development.
• Experience in development cooperation projects is an advantage.
• Familiarity with EU‑funded projects is a plus.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high‑quality written outputs.

Required skills

• No specific technical tools required; strong analytical and research abilities are essential.
