Junior Business Developer – PV & BESS Projects

About the role
You will play a key role in developing and delivering photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects for a fast‑growing renewable energy developer in Belgium. The position covers the full project lifecycle, from lead qualification to handover to operations, with a strong focus on business development and contract negotiation.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, qualify and originate new PV and BESS opportunities, preparing tailored offers.
- Structure and negotiate core project agreements such as PPAs, EPC contracts, O&M agreements and land rights.
- Define technical scope (design, capacity, technology) and coordinate technical solution preparation.
- Build and manage business plans, including CAPEX, OPEX and revenue assumptions, and present investment cases.
- Lead permitting processes and coordinate with authorities, DSO/TSO for grid connections.
- Manage project planning, milestones, risks and reporting throughout development.
- Coordinate internal teams (sales, engineering, management) and external stakeholders (contractors, advisors, investors).
- Prepare transition to construction, ensuring full handover of documentation, contracts and permits.
- Support execution by monitoring progress, budget, quality and safety with EPC contractors.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Law or equivalent experience.
- 2‑3 years of experience in renewable energy project development (PV/BESS, B2B) in Belgium.
- Strong knowledge of contractual frameworks (PPA, EPC, O&M, land agreements) and energy markets.
- Understanding of permitting, grid connection procedures and stakeholder management in Belgium.
- Experience in financial modeling and business case development (CAPEX/OPEX).
- Excellent project management and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in French or Dutch.
