Junior Auditor - Sustainability Reporting & Financial Assurance

About the role

KPMG is looking for a Junior Auditor to join its Sustainability Reporting & Financial Assurance team. You will work with clients across sectors such as automotive, public sector, life sciences, telecom, transport and logistics, helping them meet emerging sustainability regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Verify financial data including cash balances and trade receivables.
• Review fixed assets and ensure accurate valuation.
• Participate in client stock counts and observe inventory procedures.
• Prepare audit files and ensure compliance with Belgian and international accounting standards (e.g., ISA).
• Support sustainability reporting and assurance, analysing compliance with CSRD, EU Taxonomy, GRI and related frameworks.
• Collaborate on domestic and international projects, building expertise in corporate reporting.
• Visit clients on‑site and act as a primary point of contact throughout the audit year.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Economics, Commercial Engineering, Commercial Sciences or Applied Economics.
• Focus on accounting, finance or sustainability is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset, client‑centric attitude and attention to detail.
• Team player with professionalism, resilience and ability to handle multiple sectors.
