Java Software Engineer – Spring & Microservices

About the role

You will join SFEIR Belgium’s AI‑driven engineering team to design and build modern Java applications that modernise critical systems for millions of users. Working with a startup spirit backed by a large group, you will collaborate closely with data, cloud and AI specialists to deliver future‑proof, high‑impact solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java‑based microservices using Spring, Quarkus and related technologies.
• Modernise legacy systems and improve user experiences across client platforms.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Data, Cloud, AI) to integrate intelligent features.
• Champion best‑practice engineering standards and drive technical excellence within client projects.
• Participate in code reviews, knowledge‑sharing sessions and community events.

Required profile

• Fluent in French and English.
• Strong passion for technology and continuous learning.
• Enjoys a collaborative, startup‑like environment.
• Willingness to work onsite at client locations in Brussels.
