Team Lead – IT Life Insurance Developers (Brussels)

About the role

Interested to join a dynamic international insurance company? Monument acquires Life Insurance businesses and needs an IT Team Lead to coordinate the Individual Life Insurance Analysts/Developers team and develop Python‑based applications supporting the UL3 policy administration platform.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach a small team of four IT developers, managing workload, performance, and career development.
• Act as Scrum Master, ensuring Agile practices align with the organisation.
• Enforce SDLC standards, design and validate solutions according to local NFRs.
• Develop and maintain Python interfaces, scripts and small applications that integrate and automate processes around the UL3 life insurance policy administration system.
• Facilitate automation and interface development with MS Office, accounting applications, and reporting tools (XML, CSV, databases).
• Organise testing, release management and installation of new UL3 versions and add‑ons.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience in life insurance industry applications.
• Strong knowledge of Python development, object‑oriented programming and SDLC.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and Jira.
• Professional proficiency in French, English and Dutch.
• Ability to collaborate with local IT management and end‑users.
