IT Specialist

About the role

The IT Specialist will support the IT Manager/Director in a high‑volume luxury hotel environment, ensuring that all networking, hardware, and software systems run smoothly and securely. This role is essential for maintaining employee productivity and protecting critical company data.

Key responsibilities

• Review diagnostics, assess system functionality and efficiency.
• Implement and monitor security measures and compliance certificates.
• Provide technical support to staff and troubleshoot computer problems.
• Install, configure, and update software and hardware as required.
• Anticipate and report costs for equipment replacement or upgrades.
• Handle additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or Cisco CNA / MCSA / MCSE certifications with 3 years of experience.
• Experience in a high‑volume hotel operation, preferably luxury.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Physical ability to lift, push or pull items up to 50 lb.

Required skills

• Citrix, Outlook, Backup Exec, Mitel PBX, Opera PMS, Delphi S&C, Aloha POS, PeopleSoft.
• Windows 10 & 11, Windows Server 2012 & 2016.
• TCP/IP network configuration and troubleshooting.
• Cisco CNA, MCSA, MCSE certifications.
