IT Security Consultant – Penetration Tester

About the role

We are looking for an IT Security Consultant (Penetration Tester) to help organisations across Brussels and Flanders strengthen their cyber‑defence. You will work on a variety of projects, identifying vulnerabilities in web, mobile, network and cloud environments and delivering clear recommendations to improve security resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform penetration tests on web applications, APIs, mobile apps, networks and cloud infrastructure.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits.
• Simulate real‑world attack scenarios using ethical hacking techniques.
• Analyse findings and produce detailed, actionable security reports.
• Provide remediation guidance to development and IT teams.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging threats, tools and techniques.
• Support pre‑sales activities with technical expertise.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex security issues clearly.
• Customer‑focused mindset and ability to work independently or within a team.
• Proactive, curious and eager to learn.

Required skills

• Penetration testing methodologies (OWASP, OSSTMM, NIST).
• Web application security (OWASP Top 10).
• Tools: Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, Wireshark, Nessus/OpenVAS.
• Deep understanding of network protocols and architecture.
• Linux and Windows environments.
• Scripting/programming: Python, Bash, PowerShell.
• Cloud security basics (AWS, Azure, GCP) – a plus.
