IT Help Desk Support Associate

About the role

The Associate position at Bain provides technical support to employees, acting as the primary point of contact for IT‑related issues. You will troubleshoot hardware and software problems, maintain inventory records, and help develop end‑user training.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first line of support for IT problems across the firm.
• Install, configure, and upgrade software and operating systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software incidents.
• Maintain accurate inventory, repair, and activity logs.
• Enforce IT policies and manage user accounts and permissions.
• Coordinate off‑site repairs with external vendors.
• Collaborate with IT team to test new applications and upgrades.
• Assist in creating end‑user training programs.

Required profile

• Up to 2 years of experience in technical support or customer service.
• Strong communication and customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Team player who supports colleagues and shares knowledge.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends to meet deadlines.
