IT Directors – Short‑Term Paid Research on ITSM & ESM Platforms

About the role

Prolific is seeking senior IT leaders with hands‑on experience in IT Service Management (ITSM) or Enterprise Service Management (ESM) to join its Expert Network. Selected participants will complete short, paid research tasks that draw on real‑world platform selection, implementation and operational experience.

Key responsibilities

• Answer research questions on internal ticketing workflows, employee service requests, IT policy and operations.
• Review and evaluate realistic ITSM/ESM scenarios such as incident escalation, ticket triage and onboarding requests.
• Take part in structured surveys or interviews that inform academic and commercial studies.
• Provide feedback on tools, processes and best‑practice frameworks related to ITSM/ESM platforms.

Required profile

• Current or recent director‑level experience in IT, technology or IT operations.
• Direct decision‑making involvement in selecting, implementing or managing an ITSM/ESM platform.
• Strong analytical ability to translate complex service workflows into clear insights.
• Excellent written communication with attention to detail on policy and compliance topics.
• A PayPal account for receiving payments.

Required skills

• Hands‑on use of Jira Service Management, Freshservice, ServiceNow, Atomicwork or Moveworks.
