Senior IT Auditor

About the role

We are looking to strengthen Degroof Petercam's Internal Audit Team with a Senior IT Auditor. You will lead the full audit mission lifecycle, delivering assurance while also providing insight on current risk and control issues and foresight on emerging risks and improvement opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess and prioritize risks, define audit scope and objectives, and lead the audit mission from planning to reporting.
• Conduct data‑driven analysis, interviews and diagnostics to understand root causes and business implications.
• Define improvement areas and provide risk‑based recommendations to enhance governance, risk management, controls and operational resilience.
• Prepare clear audit reports in English, presenting conclusions, insights, trends and forward‑looking considerations.
• Participate in debriefings, follow‑up on recommendations and assess action‑plan effectiveness.
• Assist the Business Audit team with IT controls, digital, cyber, data, outsourcing and resilience risks.
• Lead risk assessments and contribute to the definition of a forward‑looking IT audit plan.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in IT or IT Auditing with at least 10 years of IT audit experience (internal audit or Big 4 consultancy).
• Relevant certifications such as CISA, CISSP or CIA.
• Familiarity with universal frameworks (COBIT, ISO 27000, DORA, NIST).
• Strong analytical mindset, excellent English writing skills and ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights.
• Fluent in French and English; Dutch is a plus.
