Interim Senior Project Manager E‑waste

About the role

Renewi is looking for an Interim Senior Project Manager to lead transformation initiatives within its E‑waste business in Liège, Belgium. This temporary position (until 31 March 2027) combines strategic planning with hands‑on execution to accelerate the company’s circular‑economy impact.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end transformation projects, turning strategic ambitions into concrete plans with clear milestones.
• Drive daily execution, ensuring visible operational progress and delivery.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement opportunities focused on efficiency, cost reduction and performance.
• Support standardisation and optimisation of processes across sites, aligned with operational‑excellence principles.
• Manage cross‑functional dependencies across operations, IT, finance and external partners.
• Identify, assess and mitigate key risks (capacity, system limitations, data quality) and translate them into actionable plans.
• Own issue resolution, remove organisational roadblocks and ensure strong governance, reporting and escalation management.
• Create alignment with senior stakeholders and challenge decisions when necessary.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of project or program‑management experience in complex operational environments.
• Proven background in industrial, recycling or processing settings.
• Experience with continuous‑improvement or operational‑excellence programmes (Lean, Six Sigma, CI).
• Data‑driven mindset with strong KPI and performance‑management skills.
• Hands‑on, pragmatic and execution‑focused attitude.
• Excellent analytical abilities and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent in French and English.
