Interim HR Manager – Operational Leadership & Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Interim HR Manager to lead daily HR operations while driving strategic projects in a fast‑changing digital environment. The role combines hands‑on HR management, social relations, people leadership, and process optimisation with a strong focus on compliance and employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily HR operations, payroll processing, and ensure compliance with Belgian social legislation and internal policies.
• Participate in and prepare for social consultation bodies (Works Council, CPBW, Trade Union Delegation) and maintain constructive relationships with employee representatives.
• Supervise and coach the HR Assistant, fostering a service‑oriented culture.
• Lead HR projects such as working‑time management, EU Pay Transparency Directive implementation, HR process digitalisation, and deployment of HR tools (ATS, time‑tracking, insurance management).
• Act as trusted advisor to management and manage relationships with external HR partners and consultants.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of operational HR management experience.
• Proven track record in payroll administration, controls, and coordination with a social secretariat.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian labour law, HR risk management, and experience in social negotiations.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise HR staff and lead transformation projects.
• Experience in mobility/fleet management is a plus; background in non‑profit organisations is an asset.
