Infrastructure System Engineer

About the role

Cosmote Global Solutions is seeking an experienced Infrastructure System Engineer to design, implement, and maintain high‑availability infrastructure systems. You will work within a dynamic ICT environment, supporting virtualization, storage, and server platforms while ensuring performance and security standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain infrastructure systems to guarantee high availability and optimal performance.
• Manage and support virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper‑V, as well as storage solutions including SAN, NAS and distributed file systems.
• Monitor system performance, conduct tuning, and apply upgrades, patches, and configuration changes following change‑management policies.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline operational tasks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on infrastructure projects and provide technical support.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and participate in incident management and problem resolution.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and operational guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in infrastructure systems engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and security best practices.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Relevant certifications such as VCP or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert are a plus.
