Import Logistics Coordinator

About the role

The Import Logistics Coordinator will manage end‑to‑end import operations, ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and shipments move smoothly. This role supports BDP International’s commitment to delivering reliable logistics solutions for complex and high‑risk cargo.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer orders, verify plausibility, and manage order documentation.
• Plan, book, and coordinate transportation for import shipments.
• Handle customs clearance procedures and related documentation.
• Maintain communication with customers, carriers, stevedoring, trucking companies, and internal departments.
• Provide regular shipment status updates via email, phone, or electronic data interchange.
• Identify and resolve operational issues, report non‑conformities, and ensure KPI compliance.
• Collaborate with approved subcontractors according to agreed rates.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, forwarding operations, and documentation.
• Professional degree in logistics or forwarding preferred.
• Strong organizational initiative and ability to meet customer requirements.
• Polyvalent experience in both export and import is advantageous.
• Extended knowledge of customs procedures for import/export.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with electronic data interchange (EDI) systems.
