HR Generalist – Belgium & France (Hybrid)

About the role

The HR Generalist Consultant will support employees and managers across Belgium and the Southern Region, providing day‑to‑day HR advice, ensuring compliance, and helping to streamline HR operations. This hybrid position combines hands‑on employee interaction with strategic process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Answer employee queries on HR policies, benefits, payroll and general HR information.
• Lead Works Council meetings and communicate outcomes.
• Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS and keep personnel files up to date.
• Support onboarding and off‑boarding processes, including paperwork and system updates.
• Assist employees with benefit enrollment and changes.
• Ensure compliance documentation is current and support audit requests.
• Develop and implement initiatives to improve HR process efficiency and accuracy.
• Oversee relationships with external HR service providers and monitor SLAs.
• Leverage HRIS and emerging HR technologies for data management and reporting.
• Participate in HR projects to expand knowledge and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Education in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
• 3‑5 years of experience in an HR generalist or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of HR processes and service delivery.
• Customer‑service orientation with excellent communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions and adapt to changing priorities.
• Effective time‑management and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HRIS systems.
