General Director – Infrastructure & Sustainability Solutions

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic General Director to lead an international, technology‑driven SME that delivers environmental infrastructure and sustainability solutions across more than 20 countries. The role combines strategic vision with hands‑on operational oversight to drive growth, profitability, and impact.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day management, ensuring financial health, cash‑flow monitoring and budget control.
• Supervise project delivery, guaranteeing cost efficiency, quality standards and timeline adherence.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams (technical, operational, administrative, commercial) and develop talent.
• Define and execute a global business development strategy, managing an international sales pipeline and securing contracts.
• Build and nurture relationships with clients, partners, donors and public stakeholders.
• Lead international expansion, forge strategic partnerships and design scalable processes.
• Monitor KPIs, implement performance tracking tools and report to the Board.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in general management, business‑unit leadership or strategic roles.
• Proven track record in international business development and scaling operations.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing growth and profitability.
• Experience in complex commercial negotiations, partnership development and public tenders.
• Demonstrated success in emerging‑market environments.
• Fluency in English and French.
