Junior Sector Expert (Energy, Water, Economy)

About the role

NTU International is seeking a Junior Sector Expert to support the “Cooperation Facility to Support the Implementation and Programming of EU Action and Team Europe Initiatives in Lesotho” project. The role will involve providing technical assistance in sectors such as energy, water, and economy on a short‑term, on‑demand basis. The expert will join a pool of qualified Non‑Key Experts that can be mobilised throughout the 48‑month project timeline, subject to specific Terms of Reference and approval by the EU Delegation to Lesotho. The position is expected to start in January 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical support within the assigned sector (energy, water, economy, etc.).
• Assist in research, data collection, and sector analysis.
• Support project monitoring activities and contribute to technical reports.
• Participate in stakeholder consultations and help prepare documentation.
• Prepare sector‑specific inputs for project proposals and funding applications.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of relevant experience in the chosen sector.
• Experience in development cooperation projects is an advantage.
• Familiarity with EU‑funded projects is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work in multicultural environments and produce high‑quality analytical outputs.
