Functional Business Analyst – Brussels

About the role

Capyx is seeking a Functional Business Analyst to act as the bridge between business needs and technical solutions in a multilingual, international environment. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate requirements into functional specifications and ensure successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business requirements from various stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and user stories.
• Serve as liaison between business teams and IT/development teams.
• Support solution design, testing and implementation phases.
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings and ensure alignment of delivered solutions with expectations.
• Assist with change management and user training when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, IT or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst or similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.
• Mandatory experience in Banking and/or Insurance.

Required skills

• BPMN, UML modelling.
• Jira and Confluence.
• API integration and file exchange formats (XML, JSON, CSV, XFB).
• Understanding of architecture concepts.
• Data analysis or SQL.
• Relevant certifications (CBAP, PMI‑PBA, Agile, etc.).
